"Almighty Father, I place the Precious Blood of Jesus before my lips before I pray, that my prayers may be purified, before they ascent to Your divine altar."- St. Mary Magdalene de Pazzi
The date was August 18, 2005, during a sleepless night of pain, confusion, and uncertainty, I pray:
Dear Lord,
Please protect me, especially in the moments when I feel helpless in the face of my sickness. Give me the strength to endure it, just as You carried the weight of the Cross. I offer You my sufferings in reparation for my sins, for I have offended You, my Lord and my God.
Please send Your Holy Spirit and Your angels from Heaven to come to my aid whenever I feel defeated by the forces of darkness. Dearest Mother Mary, cover me always with your mantle of protection, that I may be kept safe. Grant me peace of mind and spirit. At this moment, I am deeply affected by the pains of my illness, my stomach muscles are tense, my legs feel as if they will collapse, and my mind is clouded with fear. Grant me courage, Lord, and strengthen my faith in You. Fill me with hope that, in Your perfect time, I may be healed and restored. Have mercy on me, O Lord. Have mercy. I offer You this humble prayer from the depths of my heart. Amen. Our Father
Hail Mary
Glory be (3x)
